There have been some truly spectacular toys in the Transformers range since its beginnings in the early eighties. Some of the most popular toys of that decade were Transformers, but during the nineties it became clear that the Transformers range was running out of steam.

Thankfully, with the arrival of the live action Transformers movies, a whole new generation was able to discover the classic characters like Optimus Prime, Megatron, and of course Bumblebee!

With those live action movies came a huge range of new Transformers merchandise and action figures, and one of the most popular of all of the new toys has certainly been the Bumblebee Helmet.

This fantastic over the head helmet is made from sturdy plastic and looks pretty much exactly the same as Bumblebee's head does in the live action movies. The audio capabilities are a ton of fun, with sound effects and the option to make the wearer's voice sound like Bumblebee himself!

This helmet has been a huge hit with fans young and old, and retailers are gearing up for it to be one of the most popular toys around for this Christmas. Is it the ultimate Transformers toy? Bumblebee Voice Changer Helmet

Bumblebee Action Figures

Bumblebee has always been one of the most popular Transformers in the famous franchise, and there has always been a wide range of Bumblebee toys available. The original Bumblebee action figure from the first generation of Transformers merchandise in the 1980s was a small toy that wasn't all that practical to use, but it was nevertheless one of the most iconic toys of the whole range.

Later incarnations of Bumblebee toys have been made to look more like the version of Bumblebee that was seen in the various types of animated Transformers shows. With these better versions of the character available, Bumblebee toys grew and grew in popularity. He was by far the most popular Transformers character next to Optimus Prime himself.

When the live action movies came around, Bumblebee found millions of new fans all over the world. He may have had a new design, but he was very much the same character that everyone loved from the classic era. There was a wide range of Bumblebee themed merchandise made available with the movies, which fans snapped up, and they continue to do so.

There were regular sized action figures released, but these didn't completely resemble the character as seen in the movie. They had to be simplified a little in order for toys to be made, as the CG characters in the movie were so complicated. It would have been impossible to make a perfect replica of the movie Bumblebee and still have it able to Transform.

The most popular Bumblbee toy from the live action movies though has been the Ultimate Edition Bumblebee, a large scale toy that is able to Transform, movie, speak, play music and obey commands. This one is the closest replica of the movie Bumblebee, and while expensive, it has been a huge hit with serious Transformers fans young and old everywhere.

Other very popular pieces of Bumblebee memorabilia include posters, statues and of course the Bumblebee Voice Changer Helmet and Transformers Animated Bumblebee figures, and there are still more to come!
